I recently graduated with a PhD from the Department of Atmospheric and Climate Sciences at the University of Washington,
where I was a member of the McMurdie Research Group, led by Prof. Lynn McMurdie. My research focused on understanding how and why storms grow and organize
into larger systems. This work stems from the incredible opportunity I had to participate in the RELAMPAGO field campaign in 2018. Checkout my
research page to learn more about my current and past projects.
Prior to my starting my Ph.D., I earned dual degrees in Atmospheric Science and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. My undergradute research,
advised by Prof. Peter Hess, focused on developing simple emissions models to understand how the use of natural gas as a 'bridge fuel' (between dirtier fossil fuels
and renewable energy) would impact the future climate.
When I'm not immersed in science, you'll likely find me sailing, hiking, running or doing some other outdoor activity. I love capturing these adventures, which you can see on my hobbies page. I'm also passionate about community involvement, serving on boards like the AMS STAC Weather Analysis and Forecasting Committee, the King County Metro Fares Cabinet, and Seattle Habitat Young Professionals. You can explore my latest side software endeavors on my projects page.
